AIM (Auditory Integrator Modulator) - Technical documentation

Any unauthorized changes or modifications to this documentation may void your authorization to use the device.

General indications

• Install the device in such a way that the power cord can be unplugged from the wall outlet immediately in cases of emergency.
• Do not install the device in a confined or enclosed space. It must be used allowing air cooling.
• Do not expose the equipment to excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire or other extreme conditions.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose the AC adapter to dripping or splashing, and do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on top of the device.
• For customers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, and Cyprus: use the AC power cord (A). For safety reasons, the AC power cord (B) is not designed for the countries/regions listed above and therefore should not be used there.
• For customers in other countries/regions: Use the AC power cord (B).
• AC adapter specifications:
  • Input voltage: 100 V - 240 V
  • Input AC frequency: 50 Hz/60 Hz
  • Output voltage / output current / output power: CC 12 V - 3 A or higher.
  • Average active efficiency: 87,7 %
  • Efficiency at low load (10%): 87,1 %
  • No load power consumption: 0,10 W
  • Calculated average current AIM consumption: 15W
• You can replace the power supply with another one with the same characteristics and with the connector of your country.
• Important information concerning safety is located on the outside of the main unit.
• The validity of the CE marking is limited to those countries where it is required by law, mainly EEA (European Economic Area) countries.

Audio and headphones

Please note the following indications:

• You should not use the output of your device through external amplifiers as this may damage your hearing.
• At high volume, outside sound may become inaudible. Avoid listening to the unit in situations where you should not lose your hearing.
• As the headphones are of open design, the sound is emitted to the outside. Be careful not to disturb people in the vicinity.
• The device is designed to be used in conjunction with the Beyerdynamic DT250 80 OHM headphone model. The settings have been set exclusively for this headphone model. Substitution of another model may damage your hearing.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits set forth in the EMC regulation using a connection cable of less than 3 meters. To avoid possible hearing damage, do not listen to the unit at high volumes for long periods of time.
